The technology can place a child inside the belly of the whale โ but it's a Youth Guide who makes them feel safe enough to stay. You are the face of this mission. Without you, the deployment is just hardware.
What You'll Do
Typical Shift
2โ4 hours on deployment day, typically a Saturday or after-school weekday. You'll receive advance notice of dates and locations.
Time Commitment
As few as 1โ2 deployments per month. We work around your schedule.
Requirements
Screening Requirements
Training
All Youth Guides receive orientation training before their first deployment. Training covers VR equipment basics, youth interaction best practices, safety protocols, and what to expect on deployment day. Training details are still being finalized โ approved volunteers will receive full instructions before they're scheduled.
