ZionSphere's entire mission orbits around young people. The Education & Youth Development board member bridges the gap between the organization and the schools, after-school programs, churches, and institutions that serve youth. This person helps design programs that actually work, ensures we're measuring impact the right way, and opens doors to the institutional relationships we need.
Advise on program design, curriculum integration, and youth engagement best practices
Help identify and build relationships with school districts, Title I schools, and youth-serving nonprofits
Guide the development of ZionSphere's impact measurement and reporting framework
Advise on grant applications related to education and youth development funding
Review Open Doors Program eligibility criteria and program outcomes
Help ensure the organization's work is culturally responsive and equitable
Advise on the educational framing and outcomes measurement for Open Doors deployments
Help identify 2–3 school or after-school program partnerships in the pilot region
Provide input on grant applications to education-focused foundations
Review and recommend improvements to the Open Doors application and eligibility process
Ideal Candidate
Educator, school administrator, youth program director, curriculum specialist, or educational nonprofit leader.
Time Commitment
Expect 3–5 hours/month including meetings, program reviews, and partnership introductions.
