ZionSphere has a compelling story for city, county, and state stakeholders — economic development, youth engagement, digital inclusion, and faith community partnerships. The Community & Government Relations board member helps unlock public funding, build institutional credibility, and position ZionSphere as a recognized civic asset in every community it enters.
Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, city/county staff, and government agencies
Identify and pursue public funding opportunities including municipal grants and ARPA-type programs
Advise on community engagement strategy and grassroots relationship building
Help position ZionSphere favorably with economic development and workforce agencies
Represent the organization at civic, governmental, and community events when appropriate
Advise on regulatory or policy issues that may affect the organization's expansion
Identify at least one municipal or county partnership opportunity in the Rocky Mount/Nash County area
Advise on any state or federal funding streams relevant to digital inclusion and youth programming
Help secure a letter of support from at least one local government stakeholder
Attend at least one community stakeholder event on behalf of ZionSphere
Ideal Candidate
Former elected official, city/county manager, economic development director, community foundation leader, or civic advocate.
Time Commitment
Expect 3–6 hours/month including meetings, relationship cultivation, and occasional public representation.
All applications are reviewed personally by the founder. Qualified candidates will be contacted for a one-on-one conversation before any formal appointment.
